Battleground is near as the last week of RAW and Smackdown added an interesting turn of events as Cody Rhodes, and Goldust will be battling for their careers as they face off against two-thirds of the Shield who are tag-team champions in Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns.
There is a lot circling around the web that Goldust may turn heel and I will be interested in seeing how that turns out during the match. Does he have an agreement with the McMahon’s to botch the match with his brother Cody? Or will the turn occur after the match concludes? It’s something to keep an eye on.
Daniel Bryan, and Randy Orton will square off for the vacated WWE title at Battleground and it is laughable to even think that Bryan will get a fair shot at the belt. Triple H will always be lurking. I expect him to threaten the Big Show into knocking Bryan out with Orton standing tall in the end.
On RAW, Orton attacked Bryan with verbal assaults about his fiancee Brie Bella, and as Bryan went on to physically attack Orton, Orton would end up getting the better end of the deal as he would take out Bryan in front of Brie who went to the ring to try, and stop the fight. But Orton would eventually RKO Bryan through the announce table.
On Friday night Smackdown, Orton would participate in a four-0n-1 match against the Big Show where Bryan would enter to attack Orton who eventually ran up the entrance ramp. Bryan didn’t get enough good hits on Orton, but I guess that will be saved for Sunday.
We have CM Punk going up against Ryback as Punk will look to get revenge on Ryback who interfered in his match against Paul Heyman at Night Of Champions which resulted in an embarrassing defeat for Punk.
Ryback has gone around claiming others to be bullies in hilarious fashion as he has teamed up with Heyman, and Curtis Axel to ruin Punk.
Two weeks ago on RAW, they got their shot in on Punk ambushing him as Punk was trying to get to Heyman on the ramp but there was too much of Axel and Ryback despite Punk putting on a good fight.
This past Monday on RAW, Punk emerged from the crowds but as Heyman, Axel, and Ryback were looking, Punk faked an injury to his leg which genuinely brought some concern to Heyman, but he was fooled. Punk brought a kendo stick from underneath the ring and took out Heyman, Axel, and Ryback in the process.
Expect Heyman, and Axel to interfere in the match on Sunday.
