The first set of College Football Playoff rankings were unveiled Tuesday evening and, as expected, college football fans across the country lost their minds.
Naturally, fans of undefeated and one-loss teams that were NOT included in the initial playoff four were livid about their exclusions. However, the college football world as a whole were none too thrilled about a few specifics from the rankings. Namely, the Alabama Crimson Tide ranking ahead of teams like Michigan State, Baylor and TCU.
Searching #collegefootballplayoff, #CFP, and “Alabama” on Twitter nets some pretty entertaining results, but we decided to showcase some of the most absurd, hilarious and flat-out ridiculous reactions following the big reveal Tuesday. Enjoy at your own risk.
Alabama could stop playing football…like literally kill the program…and still make the playoff…

The Playoff committee needs to factor in how Iowa would beat every team by 45+ but Ferentz is too nice to embarrass other programs like that

If Bama loses again they'll have two cough* quality losses so therefore will move up to #3 by #CFP standards.

Iowa obviously deserves to be the #1 team in the playoff rankings.

It's very stupid logic to say "If Baylor makes the playoff then it shows you shouldn't schedule anyone. All you have to do is go unbeaten."

The college football playoff rankings are a joke. Baylor was 2 and now they are 6. How does that work?

I feel like #Bama was put in the college football playoff bracket yesterday just to make the matchup between LSU this weekend more enticing

PSA: If you're more excited tonight for meaningless college football playoff rankings than real live #MACtion, you're doing it wrong.

Is the Playoff Committee just trolling the Big 12/America with Alabama? #TrollTide
