The Cinderella Story!

Weeks of dominance by Robyn and Cumbee and even a bit by Brashaw finally came to a close in Week 7 of the TFX season. I was the only player without a bye week for any of my teams so I had a shot at winning the week. With it being a fan bonus week as well, I knew I had a shot with my answer to be the first to steal the points from Robyn.
But the story of the week had to be Mr. Brian Brashaw in possibly the gutsiest performance ever seen in the storied history of TFX. He automatically surrendered three points by having a Broncos bye as well as two match ups against himself. Sunday his Vikings beat his Cardinals before his mismanaged Cowboys beat my mismanaged Panthers and then his Saints gave up 400 yards to Josh Freeman but still beat the Bucs. He got one more win over himself (Colts beat Browns) before capping it off with Brady getting revenge on Tebow.
He finished the day with five wins out of five chances. No Thursday night; no Sunday night; no Monday night. One day: five wins, nobody beat him.
Perfection: Once you pop, you can’t stop.
I also had all my games daytime Sunday, and I thought I would have a shot at making a run. The two losses to Brian sealed my fate, and I also let Cumbee’s Texans avenge last week’s loss to me by putting up 43 on my depleted Ravens defense. I scored two wins over him (Giants over Redskins and not-good Titans over not-good Bills) and one over Robyn in an evenly matched Raiders-Jags tilt.
Cumbee and Robyn had all three primetime games this week with Robyn coming out on top Thursday (49ers over Seahawks) and Monday (Bears over Lions), and Cumbee winning Sunday night football (Steelers over Bengals).
Even though I lost, my favorite story of the week was my friends/Disney couple Ricky and Stephanie going to St. Louis to support me and my two teams playing each other. Ricky -a member of the Husker marching band- is an actual Rams fan/the guy who tells me who is on the roster. Stephanie -convinced she’s a princess- is a real Packers fan. Thanks for your support this weekend. I’m sure that was the entire reason for the trip.
Stephanie is miffed that Belle didn’t win but more miffed that Ariel didn’t even get nominated.

The Fan Bonus
Every other week fans are asked to decide a winner to a random (No Coast) Biased contest. The winner of that contest gets an additional four bonus points. So even though a player may have a rough week, the fans can keep them in the hunt by appreciating their savvy. This week fans were asked to pick the best Disney Princess.
- Robyn: Belle 20% Pretty much a two-way race here and a great choice
- Cumbee: Hippos with tutus from Fantasia 0% Funny, but it didn’t get the job done.
- Parker: Cinderella 80% The right choice for sports and the story about Kid Sister gets the job done. (It’s her 10th birthday Friday by the way.)
- Brashaw: Little Red Riding Hood 0% I don’t think he knows how to play this game.

This last couple weeks of fantasy redemption culminatedthis TFX victory. Since my last contribution about all square 4th places, I’m 8-1 in my 3 fantasy leagues, am in 2nd in 2, 3rd in the other, and have two 4 game win steaks going. I took the lead NCB staff college picks, and climbed out of the cellar in my nfl picks league. Everything is coming up Brashaw!
