Miles is all smiles after his 2 recent verbal commitments

First year Nebraska head coach Tim Miles is not wasting any time making an impact on the recruiting trail. Miles scored 2 verbal commits Friday from 2 perimeter players, 1 of which had offers from programs “Nebrasketball” would have never had a shot of beating out in years past.

Wisconsin forward Nick Fuller had strong interest from Minnesota, Colorado, Marquette and Creighton. ESPN.com ranks Fuller as the No. 18 small forward in the country while Scout.com has him as the No. 27 small forward.

Texas guard Nathan Hawkins had offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and UTEP among others.

It definitely looks like Miles passion and exciting personality coupled with NU’s shiny new facilities are helping lure quality prospects from throughout the country to at least take an interest in the program. However, perhaps the most important target out there is right in Miles’ backyard.

Omaha Centra’s Akoy Agau has offers from all over the country – 30 in all including powers Uconn, Florida, and Georgetown.

If Miles can pull off getting a commitment from Agau, Nebrasketball fans’ dreams of winning their 1st NCAA tourney game ever may be that much closer to coming true.
