Hot-shot Georgia Defensive End and perhaps the most coveted player coming out of high school next year Robert Nkemdiche (say that 3 times really fast) is currently committed to Clemson but according to him there’s a way to make him “extra, extra committed”.
“I am waiting on Clemson to offer Ryan; when that happens, it’s locked … it’s a done deal … it’s over,” he said to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The “Ryan” he is referring to is his Grayson High School teammate Ryan Carter.
Just how serious is Nkemdiche with his “prodding” of Clemson to offer his high school buddy? “If Clemson doesn’t offer Ryan, it would make me look at Ole Miss a little more, it would,” Nkemdiche said. “It’s very important that I have my boys with me.” This sounds like more than a suggestion and considering Ole Miss offered Carter the very same day Nkemdiche verballed to Clemson you have to assume Dabo will be offering very soon.
Is Nkemdiche throwing his weight around? Of course he is. Does he have the right to do so? No doubt. We’ll see how this pans out but don’t be surprised if this type of posturing becomes for prevalent.
