Now that’s a tackle. — AP

What a horrifying week of fantasy football. The league is open, so feel free to take a look at the scoreboard and teams right here.  Let’s take a closer look at it:

THE MATCHUPS

Replacement Officials vs. Lincoln Cowfish (54-99)

Another rough week for the Refs. Aaron Rodgers was off his game, also giving James Jones a zero. By the time Aaron Hernandez went down on Sunday, it was already over. Cowfish had nothing to worry about with Cam Newton and Victor Cruz pulling the load.

D’s Nuts vs. MEXtra Pointz (88-83)

MEXtra got their first loss on the strength of D’s Eli Manning, top scoring QB for the week. MEX also had to contend with an injury to starting RB Ahmad Bradshaw, which will certainly affect future matchups.

Monstah Lobstah vs. Virginia Beach Cornhawks (86-83)

GAME OF THE WEEK

Both of these teams are now 1-1 after this close contest. Strong WR play for Lobstah won the day with Harvin, Stevie J, and Sproles (What? He counts.). Cornhawks could have won if only Seattle’s D/ST had been used instead of New England.

Steeler Virginity vs. Blue Bengals (117-65)

Bengals got crushed again in week 2. Steeler had the highest scoring player of the week in Reggie Bush, but it wasn’t even necessary. Besides strong performances from Vernon Davis and Hakeem Nicks, Bengals had nothing going on this week. Oh, and Ben Tate on the bench.

Team leftcoastbias vs. Rollin’ Up Blounts (72-68)

PILLOWFIGHT OF THE WEEK

Neither of these teams put up numbers that will compete in the long run here. leftcoast was lucky to get a win after Cutler’s brilliant Thursday play. Luckily, the Panthers found their offense and lit up Brandon LaFell. Ray Rice and Doug Martin were the only other players to get more than 10 points. Blounts just had a down week from some solid starters and should bounce back.

Show me your TDs vs. Team Pymps (111-50)

BIGGEST BLOWOUT

Pymps is a team made up almost exclusively of Cowboys, Packers and Chargers. Not a bad strategy if you pick power players all from one team . . . the trick is that the team has to play well. That didn’t happen for the Boys or Pack this week. TDs is a power in the league and everyone is afraid.

Cromartie Kidz and Dirty Birdz

These were our bye week players this week. They scored 118 and 79 points respectively.

RUNDOWN

Highest scoring team:  Steeler Virginity

Lowest scoring team:  Team Pymps

Highest scoring rusher:  Reggie Bush (Steeler Virginity) — 31 points

Highest scoring passer:  RGIII (D’s Nuts; benched) — 30 points

Worst play this week:  TIE  James Jones and Aaron Hernandez (Replacement Officials); Kenny Britt (Monstah Lobstah); Larry Fitz (Blue Bengals); Robert Meachem and Jermichael Finley (Team Pymps) — All with an astounding 0 points

Average team score:  81 points

I hate to point it out but your math is a little wrong with the biggest blowout.

Wow I was way off on my math. Calculator skills not what they once were. Corrected.

        Also…common sense. Lame.

Ton of close match-ups this week. Yeah and that Bradshaw injury sucked.
