Nebraska Reboots Secondary Logos

…and just like most reboots we ask why?

According to Randy York at, licensees and retailers will be informed of the new designs in the next few days and apparel with the new logos could start being sold as early as the end of 2012.

I’m hoping there’s a big enough backlash against these designs though that we NEVER see these on anything.

Mississippi State is flattered we jacked their design.

That helmet on the right? That’s a “logo” as well.

For a school that spends millions of dollars on new facilities and coaches they really dropped the ball on this one. I’ve fired design interns that could come up with better art than this.

Give me the script-style logo or give me nothing. What do you think Husker fans?

  1. I have to agree with Derek. The “Huskers” obscures too much of the “N,” and I think the designer(s) should have considered chucking the curved distortion (which is unnecessary and cliche) all together. It just looks a bit cheap to me; I’ll stick with the stand-alone primary “N.”
