[Quick Hits] Nebraska Cornhusker’s Taylor Martinez front and center on ESPN’s College Football page

Yep. That’s the man, the myth, the legend himself Taylor Martinez on the front page.  With the very green (thanks Bo) Brion Carnes getting next to nothing in terms of reps, the fate of the Huskers yet again falls on this guy’s unorthodox throwing motion.  That’s unless hot-shot recruit Tommy Armstrong steps right in and sets the world fire. Knowing Bo will go out of his way to make sure Taylor’s ego isn’t messed with, I doubt we’ll see either Brion or Tommy this year – even in blowouts.

Let’s all hope Taylor makes a quantum leap this season and the Blackshirts return to form despite losing the Big 3 of Dennard, Crick and David. If that happens we should be seeing more Scarlet and Cream on the front page.

Agreed, except for the “loss” of Crick. He didn’t really do anything in the games he played in before he got hurt and missed the rest of the year. I forgot he was even a person…

Great point. The Blackshirts pretty much got a headstart of playing without Crick.
