I’m one of the 3 people on Earth that hasn’t seen The Avengers yet but that doesn’t mean I haven’t Googled accidentally ran across spoilers for the movie. I haven’t even seen part 1 yet and I’m already exponentially more excited to see the sequel. Why am I so excited you ask? (SPOILERS AHEAD – PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK).

BECAUSE THANOS IS IN THE SEQUEL. THANOS. T-H-A-N-O-S.
Pardon my nerdgasm but here’s a little summary on who exactly is Mr. Thanos.
Thanos is basically a god-like cosmic being who dedicated his entire life (and after-life, but this is the short-version) to a little lady named Death. Yes, Death in this universe is personified by a woman and not Adam Carolla . To please Death Thanos scoured the universe to collect all the Infinity Gems and created a glove called the Infinity Gauntlet that basically made him the Master of the Universe. And not the He-Man kind.
With the Infinity Gauntlet Thanos had complete power over the universe. With this power he decides to lay the smack down on the universe and wipes out half of all living things – and even some comic book heroes. He’s so obsessed with impressing death he eventually decimates the other half of the universe and even eventually becomes the “embodiment of the Universe” because he wipes out that too. Yeah. Epic and dark stuff lies ahead. That line in the end credits where “The Other” says to Thanos something about “courting death” now makes perfect sense.
Of course Avengers 2 could go a different route and have Thanos use the power of the “Tesseract” (or Cosmic Cube in the comics),as he did in one of his earlier appearances, which still would make him an omnipotent badass. Either way, you all should be as excited as me for the Avengers sequel. Now let me wrap this up so I can see the first one.
