NBA Did You Know? – NBA DJs

This post is part of our NBA week series, where we explore all things NBA leading up to opening night on October 31st.

Did you know that 12 NBA teams have “Official Team DJs” actually recognized by the NBA?

You’ve heard music at sporting events before, but some NBA teams take it up another level. The following teams employ more than button pushers – they have DJs that get the crowd moving by mixing in-game beats and producing theme-night mash-ups.

NBA Team/Official Team DJ

Cleveland Cavaliers – DJ Steph Floss

Dallas Mavericks – DJ Ro Parrish

Denver Nuggets – DJ Bedz

Detroit Pistons – DJ Prevu

Houston Rockets – DJ Verseatile

Miami Heat – DJ Irie

Minnesota Timberwolves – DJ Mad Mardigan

Oklahoma City Thunder – DJ Benjamin Boom

Orlando Magic – DJ D-Strong

Portland Trailblazers – DJ O.G. One

Toronto Raptors – 4korners

Washington Wizards – Big Tigger

It may not seem like a big deal, but if you haven’t been to an NBA game with an official team DJ you’ll notice the difference once you do attend a game with these turntablist. Check out my interview with DJ Bedz of the Denver Nuggets to get an inside look of a day in the life of these crowd pleasers.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the next NBA Did You Know?
