The end of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend signifies a turning point in the NBA season. Every team in the league has played enough games to get a true sense of their identity, which makes watching the games a lot more fun. The first weekend of December will be here in a few days, and it is filled with exciting and interesting NBA games that everyone will enjoy.

NBA fans always get to start their weekend early with great games on Thursday night, and this week is no different. The first marquee game of the night will see the Los Angeles Clippers go on the road to face the Cleveland Cavaliers. Inter-conference battles are rare in the NBA, so it will be a lot of fun to see these two great teams face off early in the season. If everything goes right for both teams, then this will be a preview for the NBA Finals.

The great day of basketball concludes when the Houston Rockets head to Oakland to play the Golden State Warriors. These are the two highest scoring teams in the Western Conference, so there will not be too many great defensive plays. Houston is going to be in a tough battle for playoff positioning all season, so they could really use an upset win over the Warriors. James Harden and Steph Curry are also MVP candidates and will face off against each other for the first time this season.

One day after a tough game with the Clippers, the Cavaliers have to go on the road to face the Chicago Bulls. It took a few games for the new lineup to mesh together, but the Bulls look like contenders in the Eastern Conference. They will finally get to see how they match up against the best team in the conference when they play the Cavaliers on Friday.

Two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference will face off when the Toronto Raptors host the Atlanta Hawks Saturday night. The Eastern Conference is filled with lot of evenly matched teams, so every game of the season is very important for each team. A few games may be the difference in hosting a first round playoff series or going on the road to face the Cavaliers. If the Raptors want to prove they are capable of competing with Cleveland, then they need to start winning more games against tough teams like the Atlanta Hawks.

While most sports fans are focused on football, there will be one more great NBA game played on Sunday night. After struggling at the beginning of the season, the Pacers look like they may be turning their season around. They dominated the Clippers in Indiana last weekend, and they will look to repeat that performance on the road Sunday night. If the Pacers pull off another win over the Clippers, then they will be serious contenders in the Eastern Conference despite their modest record.
